Yes, you can receive notifications for shared videos/photos via email.

However to enable this you need to login to Thwapr on the desktop.

Go to My Account and click on Notifications (left side).

You will see checkboxes for SMS and email. You can elect to enable SMS, email, or both method of notifications.

Note that the links in the SMS and email messages are for mobile web access.
